Marqus Blakely. AKTV/Paul Ryan TanThe San Mig Coffee Mixers are bringing back a familiar face to lead them in the season-ending Governors’ Cup.

Marqus Blakely, who led the team known as the B-MEG Llamados to the finals of the tournament last season, will be back for a second tour of duty when the conference begins in August.

San Mig Coffee coach Tim Cone said Blakely is scheduled to arrive in early July.

With Blakely, the Llamados battled the Rain or Shine to the very end in a gruelling seven-game series. The former Los Angeles Clipper averaged 22.4 points, 13.4 rebounds, 2.7 steals, and 2.5 blocks in 22 games for B-MEG last year.
