Arwind Santos. PBA Media BureauSan Miguel forward Arwind Santos relished his role as a ferocious rebounder and defensive stopper during the Beermen’s pulsating 72-70 win over Barangay Ginebra on Sunday.

The former Most Valuable Player, who finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds, had two crucial offensive boards in the late minutes that denied Ginebra more chances to complete its comeback from 10 points down.

To cap off his impressive night, Santos stood his ground in the last play and altered LA Tenorio’s game-tying shot.

Santos said effort in those departments is crucial in winning a basketball game.

In the end, yun ang nagpanalo.”
