PBB Face-Off Series unfolds February 18
THE Filipino cue masters are up for something big next month as the organizers of the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face-Off Series will be inviting more world-class players.
The second edition of the PBB Face-Off Series will begin on February 18 with the Philippine Team taking on The Rest of Asia followed by the Asia versus Europe and East versus West series.
“It’s a good opportunity for us to showcase our talent against the best players in the world. We’re happy that there are people who really want to promote billiards in the country,” said Reyes in Filipino.
Reyes won the final stage of the PBB Face Off Series last week when he defeated Wu Jia Qiang of China, 9-6, and bagged the $5,000 winner’s purse.
Besides Reyes, the other Filipino players who participated in the PBB Face Off series were Carlo “The Black Tiger” Biado, Dennis “Robocop” Orcollo, Ronato “Volcano” Alcano, Francisco “Django” Bustamante, Lee Vann “The Slayer” Corteza and Roberto “Superman” Gomez.
