Orcollo ranks No.4 in Money-Maker list
WORLD ranked No. 1 Dennis Orcollo placed fourth in the 2011 Money-Maker list in the world of pool.
Orcollo collected a total winning of $117,588, far from his output of $52,617 in 2010, $35,450 in 2009 and $99,942 in 2008.
A huge chunk of Orcollo’s 2011 prizes came from his triumph in the World 8-Ball tilt where he gained a whopping $40,000.
He also got $16,000 from topping the Derby City Classic 9-Ball division, and $10,000 each in his second place finish in the Manny Pacquiao International 10-Ball Championships, third place in the World 9-Ball Championships and another second place in the World Pool Masters.
Three more Filipinos in Alex Pagulayan, Lee Van Corteza and Ronnie Alcano are in the Top 20 of the Money-Maker list by the Azbilliards.
Pagulayan is at sixth with $89,360, Corteza at 14th with $63,193 and Alcano at 17th with $51,210.
Shane Van Boening gained the top spot with $160,450 followed by Ralf Souquet with $150,044 and Darren Appleton with $144,180.
Also in the list are No. 5 Thorsten Hohmann ($97,100), No. 7 Pin-Yi Ko ($87,500), No. 8 Chris Melling ($84,141), No. 9 Huidji See ($80,377), No. 10 Si Meng Chen ($76,479), No. 11 Niels Feijen ($72,067) , No. 12 Rodney Morris ($71,807), No. 13 Yukio Akagariyama ($66,000), No. 15 Jung-Lin Chang ($56,400), No. 16 Johnny Archer ($56,225), No. 17 Nick Van Den Berg ($53,531), No. 19 Kelly Fisher ($49,583) and N. 20 Ga-Young Kim ($49,400).
