Letran reeled off some crucial stops in the endgame, as the host school picked up their first back-to-back wins in the 88th season of the NCAA with a 65-62 victory over Emilio Aguinaldo College, Wednesday, in the first out-of-town game of the season, at the San Luis Sports Complex in Laguna.

The Knights used a 22-0 blast capped by a three-point play from Jam Cortes for a 58-45 lead, 6:48 left in the game.

However, the Generals countered with a 10-2 run as a Noube Happi follow-up moved them within five points, 60-55, with 4:34 to play.

Letran was still up, 65-60, after a split at the line by Kevin Alas, but EAC forward Russell Yaya countered with a basket for the Generals to make it a three-point game, 62-65, with 13 seconds remaining.

The Knights however left the door open for the Generals to force overtime, after Alas bungled two foul shots with 10.1 seconds on the clock, but with two seconds left in the game, Jan Jamon was unable to connect on an open triple, resulting in their loss.
