Hornets rally in the fourth quarter for 109-102 win

Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker.ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Charlotte Hornets aren't sure they have enough time to climb into the Eastern Conference playoff picture, but the feeling is whatever chance they have is giving them purpose down the stretch.

The Hornets certainly looked the part of a team on a mission Wednesday night as they fought back from an early fourth-quarter deficit to defeat Orlando 109-102 for their third straight victory. Charlotte also swept the four-game season series with the Magic.

"It just gives us a chance, it gives us a reason to keep fighting," said Charlotte guard Kemba Walker, who finished with 22 points and seven assists. "A lot of teams are not in the same position as us."

The Hornets (32-39) entered the night in 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings but just three games out of eighth place. It will be difficult to make up that much ground with just 11 regular season games to go....

Hornets hand Hawks 4th straight loss, 105-90

The Hornets gets five players into double-figure scoring, including two from the bench, to race past the Hawks 105-90.CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Hornets second-year forward Frank Kaminsky said his biggest problem on the court has been letting go of the past.

"I'm always thinking through stuff, and it's hard to get over things," Kaminsky said. "When you miss four of five shots early in the season, it's hard. I was getting down on myself."

Indiana Pacers forward Paul GeorgeINDIANAPOLIS -- Paul George couldn't have picked a better time to take over a basketball game and lead the Pacers to a much-needed win.

During the second half of the second night of a back-to-back, George played like someone on three days' rest.

George made six 3-pointers and scored 27 of his season high 39 points in the second half, and the Pacers knocked off the Hornets 98-77, keeping Indiana in the middle of the Eastern Conference playoff race....

Hornets' Nicolas Batum undergoes brain scan for migraines

Hornets forward Nicolas Batum missed a second straight game Wednesday with migraine headaches and is considered day-to-day. Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY SportsCharlotte Hornets forward Nicolas Batum underwent a CT scan on his brain Wednesday as he deals with extreme migraine headaches.

The team said Wednesday night the scan came back negative. Batum is day-to-day.

A source told ESPN the migraines were described as "excruciating" and that it's "a scary period" for Batum, a nine-year veteran....
