Webmasters, Stags clinch Final 4 berths in PCCL
University of Cebu and San Sebastian College clinched Final Four berths in the PCCL National Championship after beating separate foes Wednesday at the Ormoc City Superdome.
The Webmasters defeated Southwestern University, 63-58, while the Golden Stags downed Letran, 83-76, to occupy the last two slots in the Final Four set to start on Monday at The Arena in San Juan City
UC and San Sebastian joined Ateneo and San Beda, which gained outright Final Four slots by virtue of being the UAAP and NCAA champions, respectively.
Unlike in past editions of the PCCL, all teams in the Final Four get to play against each other with the top two teams advancing to the national championship with the top team after the round robin tournament holding a twice-to-beat advantage for the title.
UC will take on Ateneo in the 2 p.m. opener with Junmar Fajardo taking on Greg Slaughter in a battle of the giants while San Sebastian and San Beda meet again after the NCAA finals series at 4 p.m. — JVP, GMA News
