The shoes from LeBron that made us all envious of Kiefer
MANILA -- We’ve all seen that viral video of former Ateneo star Kiefer Ravena unboxing a package from LeBron James himself, and the words of wisdom from the King himself about The Phenom being the “first Filipino player to make it to the NBA” if ever. “Don't let the dream go.”
But who else got curious over those shoes?
The brand of the shoes is obviously sports clothing and footwear giant Nike, of which James is a lifetime endorser. (His deal with Nike is reportedly the largest in history!) The model: Nike Zoom Soldier 10 Camo, which just launched last October 1 with a price tag of P7,195.
James’ new eponymous pair features a green camo pattern on the upper, with three Velcro straps binding each shoe. The brand’s signature Swoosh is in brownish orange in line with the “built for battle” theme.
Quite dope, if you ask us.
We could only hope that sick pair gives more moral boost to our dear Ravena, a two-time UAAP MVP, who’s been in the States hoping to get a spot on the Texas Legends in the NBA D-League. And then we’ll have another reason to be envious of him, as if a chance to play with King James.
