Champions League North-CL tilt set
MANILA, Philippines — The North-Central Luzon regional championship of the Philippine Collegiate Champions League (PCCL) starts Monday at the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) gym in Vigan City.
Four champion teams in the region – SCUAA titlist UNP of Vigan, BBEAL champion University of Cordillera of Baguio, SBOAA titleholder La Union College of Nursing Arts & Sciences of La Union and UCAAP winner University of Pangasinan – dispute the lone spot in the Sweet 16 Finals set to start Nov. 19 at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan City.
UNP president Dr. Gilbert Arce agreed to host the matches as part of the school’s progressive sports development program. He will be assisted by UNP sports director Ranilo Palma.
Already in the Sweet 16 Finals are Ateneo, San Beda, Far Eastern University, San Sebastian, Adamson, Letran, University of Santo Tomas, Jose Rizal University, University of Cebu, and Southwestern University.
