Gilas nails first win in Lithuania vs. Neptunas

MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas won its first tune-up match in its Lithuanian buildup, topping the Neptunas team, 81-76.

 “Suffice it to say for now things are going well. Learning curve is steep. We enjoy the struggle, but the bond is deep,” said coach Chot Reyes on his Twitter account.

The Philippines chose to be in Group A with Jordan, Chinese Taipei and Saudi Arabia for the 27th FIBA-Asia Championships to be held here from Aug. 1-11.
