Waves face skidding Superchargers in Aspirants Cup
Boracay Rum aims to keep its winning form when it faces skidding Big Chill Wednesday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the San Juan gym.
The Waves’ 4 p.m. match against the Superchargers will be their second game in three days after beating DUB Unlimited, 72-68, to hike their mark to 4-2.
In the 2 p.m. first game, RnW Pacific Pipes hopes to improve its 3-3 card when it goes up against winless Cobra Energy Drink.
The Waves are going for their fourth straight victory to enhance their chances in the top six and even in the two outright semifinals berth.
“We are treating this week as a do-or-die week for us,” said Boracay Rum coach Lawrence Chongson. “We are not yet safely inside the Top 6 so we’ve got our work cut out for us.”
Chongson added that they are hoping to win their last five games in the elimination round. “We want to finish on top. Hindi naman masama mangarap di ba?”
