PBA D-League bans Road Warriors' liaison officer
The PBA D-League banned NLEX liaison officer Arnel Angeles in the league for unsportsmanlike conduct during the Road Warriors' match against Big Chill last week.
PBA Commissioner Chito Salud, in a statement, said Angeles was banned from the league after kicking Big Chill’s Raymond Maconocido in the third quarter of their game held at the Trinity University Gym.
Players from both teams were scrambling for the loose ball when Angeles walked in the court, kicked Maconocido in the head and returned to the bench as if nothing happened.
Angeles saw what he did when he was summoned by the PBA Commissioner’s Office to review the game tape.
“His behavior has no place in our league, let alone in sports. It was absolutely unacceptable as he was not part of the apparent scuffle at all,” Salud said. — JVP, GMA News
