Phoenix dismantles Kia for first win of the season

JC Intal scored 15 points and led 8 Phoenix players in double-digit scoring, as the Fuel Masters routed Kia 125-102 at Ynares Center in Antipolo city on Wednesday.

Phoenix (1-1), which gave head coach Louie Alas his first win with the team, had little trouble dispatching Kia (0-2) in the wire-to-wire win, at one point leading by 26 points.

Matthew Wright and Justin Chua also finished with 15 points, while Gelo Alolino and RJ Jazul added 13 points and 3 3-pointers each.

Rashawn McCarthy registered a game-high 22 points and 8 rebounds for Kia, which got a reality check after a strong showing in its opening-day game against NLEX.
