Myla Pablo will still play for Pocari in 2018

MANILA, Philippines – Amid unfounded rumors that Myla Pablo is set to leave Pocari Sweat, her camp has stressed that the open spiker plans to play for the Lady Warriors for at least one more year.

A seemingly innocent post by Pablo on Tuesday sparked speculations that she will leave the team. She tweeted a picture of herself wearing a Philips Gold jersey, back when the franchise was still competing in the Philippine Superliga.

The team left the PSL for the Premier Volleyball League in 2016 and rebranded as Pocari Sweat.

Mark Salamat, Pablo's representative in Virtual Playground, told ABS-CBN News on Wednesday that both Pablo and middle blocker Jeanette Panaga had every intention of honoring their contracts.

"(They) will stay with Pocari in 2018… they will be there to lead Pocari during this rebuilding stage," Salamat said in a text message.
