Krizziah Tabora is adjusting to life as new World Cup champion

Krizziah Tabora acknowledged that she still can’t believe she won the bowling World Cup title.

“Hindi pa po masyado,” she said in an interview with TJ Manotoc on “The Score” Thursday night. “Nagsi-sink in pa lang po kapag may interviews. Pero ’pag wala po parang, ‘huh?’ ”

The 27-year-old defeated Malaysia's Siti Safiyah in the finals, 236-191, to end a 14-year drought for the Philippines at the World Cup.

Even during the final match, Tabora said she didn’t realize she was already winning because she was just that focused.

“Usually ’pag finals po hindi ako tumitingin (sa scores),” she said. “(Then) lumapit lang po iyong Malaysian . . . and niyakap na lang po niya ako at sinabi niya na: ‘Krizziah, I’m so proud of you and congratulations.’ So parang natulala ako.
