MVP lauds Texters for valiant effort vs Kings

MANILA, Philippines – TNT KaTropa team owner Manny V. Pangilinan gave the Texters a pat on the back, hailing their valiant effort in what turned to be their farewell game in the 2016-17 PBA season Sunday night.

“Our heads may be bowed in sadness, but not in shame,” said Pangilinan as he joined the team in the dugout after the game.

Pangilinan was proud of the Texters’ mighty stand, giving the Barangay Ginebra Kings a big scare before losing steam and energy in playing without an import through three quarters.

Minus Glen Rice who was ejected from the game for technical infractions, the Texters went down to a 105-115 loss that scuttled what could have been a title duel with sister team the Meralco Bolts.
