Durham, a brute force of nature for Meralco in crucial Game 3 win

Meralco let out a sigh of relief Wednesday night after finally scoring a win against Barangay Ginebra in their PBA Governors' Cup title showdown.

But it wasn't easy for Allen Durham and crew, as they needed to play purposefully for 48 minutes to make sure they walked away with a 94-81 in Game 3.

It was their first victory over Ginebra after losing the first two games in the race-to-4 series.

"You know, in order to get a win, we had to keep grinding out for 48 minutes. Ginebra's a great team but we finally poured out for a win. Finally," Durham said in the post-game interview.

He finished the game with an all-around effort of 38 points, 20 rebounds, 5 blocks and 4 assists, scoring at will in the paint where he bulldozed past Ginebra defenders.

On the defensive end, he blocked a pair of shots in the fourth that kept Ginebra at bay, avoiding a late-game meltdown Meralco suffered in the Game 2 loss.
