San Beda coach lashes out at refs, commish after Bolick's ejection

MANILA, Philippines – San Beda College head coach Boyet Fernandez cut a furious figure after the Red Lions' 72-58 victory over De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (CSB) in the NCAA Season 93 men's basketball tournament on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Even as his team claimed its ninth victory of the tournament, Fernandez was fuming at the game officials, especially as his star point guard, Robert Bolick, was ejected with just 2:28 left to play following a scuffle with CSB's Carlo Young.

Young was also thrown out of the game, along with San Beda's Clint Doliguez who entered the playing court despite being on the bench while the incident occurred.

"If they want us to lose ball games, then let us lose the ball game in a proper way," a visibly angry Fernandez told reporters after the game. "God. Ang sama eh. Mali talaga."

Fernandez was already frustrated with the officiating even before the late-game scuffle, as he questioned the sheer amount of fouls called on his team.
