Prince Eze, Robert Bolick salvage win for Team Saints in NCAA All Stars

Team Saints banked on the superb presence of Perpetual Help’s Prince Eze and the sweet shooting of San Beda’s Robert Bolick to beat Team Heroes, 84-80, in the NCAA all-star game at Filoil Flying V Centre on Friday.

The 6-foot-9 Eze barreled his way to 17 points and 14 rebounds while Bolick made a 3-pointer down the stretch to salvage the win for the Saints, which is made up of schools with Saint-based names — Perpetual Help, Letran, San Sebastian, San Beda and St. Benilde.

Eze was named all-star MVP, duplicating the feat of fellow Nigerian and former teammate Bright Akhuetie last year.

Before the All-Star festivities, the NCAA also conducted a free basketball clinic for street kids in Quiapo as part of the league’s “NCAA Cares” program.

Earlier, Arellano University’s Lervin Flores dunked over three people including actor Empoy Marquez in his final attempt to take home the slam-dunk crown.
