No choice for Star but to move on quickly after back-to-back losses

MANILA, Philippines – After a painful overtime loss to their archrivals, the Star Hotshots have no other option but to move on quickly, as they still have a series of difficult games coming up.

A 105-101 overtime defeat to Barangay Ginebra in the Manila Clasico last Sunday was Star's second consecutive setback, following a similarly gutting loss to Rain or Shine the week before.

With the loss to the Gin Kings, the Hotshots dropped to 4-2 in the conference. That record puts them at No. 5, meaning they would miss out on a twice-to-beat bonus if the playoffs started today.

"Move on na kami," said Star shooting guard Paul Lee on Sunday. "Tapos na 'yung game na ito, so bounce back na lang kami sa next game namin."

It was a sentiment shared by head coach Chito Victolero, who said the Hotshots "need to regroup and bounce back in our next game."
