Bolick defiant after shocking ejection, looming suspension

MANILA, Philippines – San Beda College guard Robert Bolick remained defiant after his shock ejection in their game against De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (CSB) on Tuesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Bolick submitted another solid performance, scoring 14 points on top of 11 assists, seven rebounds, and one steal as the Red Lions cruised to their eighth straight win in the NCAA Season 93 tournament.

But as he tried to put the finishing touches on the victory with a transition bucket, he was brought down from behind by CSB guard Carlo Young. The two got tangled along the baseline, with referees, bouncers, and security getting involved as they were separated.

After a long review, both Young and Bolick were ejected with still 2:28 left, along with San Beda reserve guard Clint Doliguez who entered the court despite being on the bench when the incident happened.

"Wala naman akong ginawa eh," Bolick said after San Beda's 72-58 victory, which improved their record to 9-1 in the tournament.
