'Unselfish' Durham still racks up big numbers for Meralco

MANILA, Philippines – Even as he made it a point to spearhead Meralco's "spread the wealth" mentality in the 2017 PBA Governors' Cup, import Allen Durham still collected impressive numbers as he led the Bolts to another win.

Durham on Sunday became the second import in the conference to tally a triple-double, as he had 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists in Meralco's 112-97 blowout win over the woeful KIA Picanto.

As a team, the Bolts had 31 assists, as Durham's unselfish play rubbed off on his teammates.

"He has really been the one who has led our attempt to be very unselfish this conference," Meralco coach Norman Black said of Durham, who is now averaging 24 points, 19.75 rebounds, and 8.5 assists per game according to the PBA website.

"He has really led the charge as far as being unselfish and moving the basketball and getting good shots at the basket, every time down the floor," Black added. "Great effort from AD."

With Durham leading the way, Meralco improved to 4-0 in the conference, currently the best mark in the league.
