PH's Anthony Beram, Aries Toledo scoop up track and field golds

Anthony Beram of the Philippines won the gold in men's 200 meters in the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday night.

He clocked 20.84 seconds, besting sprinters from Thailand and Malaysia, who finished second and third respectively.

Aries Toledo also added a gold -- the Philippines' 10th in these Games so far -- in men's decathlon, topping rivals from Thailand and Vietnam who bagged silver and bronze, respectively.

While the Filipinos claimed medals throughout the day, it was starting to look like a gold-less outing until track and field started to deliver.

Marco Vilog took home the silver in men's 800 meters, right behind a Vietnamese opponent, while Harry Diones also placed second in men's triple jump, an event won by a Malaysian.
