Letran's Ambohot out for 2 months with wrist injury

MANILA, Philippines – Colegio de San Juan de Letran's campaign in the NCAA Season 93 men's basketball tournament took a hit after much-improved center Jeo Ambohot suffered an injury in his right wrist that will keep him out for two months.

The 6-foot-6 Ambohot had to exit their game against San Sebastian College after injuring his right wrist, which was later diagnosed as a fracture.

Fr. Vic Calvo, OP, Letran's athletic director, later confirmed that the center will be out for two months, likely keeping him out of the entirety of the second round of the tournament.

Ambohot had already tallied 11 points and eight rebounds, along with two blocks in nearly 22 minutes of playing time when he was fouled hard by San Sebastian's JM Calma with 5:48 left in the third period.

He immediately crumpled to the floor and then pointed to his right wrist, which was skewed at an awkward angle. He had to be helped off the court, and was immediately rushed to a local hospital for a check-up.
