Jomary Torres thrilled to join PH MMA fighters in Macau

MANILA, Philippines – For Filipina fighter Jomary Torres, it is a great privilege to fight on the same card as fellow homegrown mixed martial artists at ONE: Kings & Conquerors in Macau on Saturday.

Torres is set to face rising Thai star Rika "Tinydoll" Ishige in the undercard, and she is relishing the opportunity to represent the Philippines alongside veteran Eric Kelly and former flyweight title challenger Joshua Pacio.

"I am very happy, because all of us are representing the Philippines," said Torres. "This is good. I hope all of us will win on fight night."

Kelly takes on former ONE lightweight world champion Kotetsu "No Face" Boku, while Pacio is up against Japanese veteran Hayato Suzuki in a three-round strawweight bout.

"We get to represent the country. It's really an honor and a privilege. We are one team in Macau, and we are all hoping for a clean sweep," said Torres.

Torres holds a fledgling MMA record of 1-0, but vows that she will not merely serve as a stepping stone for "Tinydoll" and instead plans to walk out with a win in her ONE Championship debut.
