'Hindi talaga para sa amin,' Pablo says after finals loss

MANILA, Philippines – Despite finding themselves on the losing end for the first time ever in the PVL finals, the Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors remained as upbeat as ever.

Playing with their backs against the wall in Game 2 of the PVL Open Conference finals against BaliPure on Wednesday, the Lady Warriors managed to take a set off the Water Defenders for the first time in the tournament, but still lost in four sets.

With Grethcel Soltones and Aiko Urdas leading the way, BaliPure seized a 25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 26-24 win to snap Pocari Sweat's run of three consecutive PVL titles.

"Hindi po talaga para sa amin," was all ace spiker Myla Pablo could say after the defeat.

Pablo was superb in the game, scoring 21 points on 17 attacks and four kill blocks. She very nearly won the third and fourth sets for Pocari Sweat, but each time the Lady Warriors were foiled by smart attacks from Soltones.
