Archery delivers another bronze for PH

The Philippines earned its second bronze medal of the 2017 Southeast Asian Games on Thursday morning, thanks to the men's archery team.

The Filipinos edged Vietnam, 233-230, in the bronze medal match of the men's team compound event. It was a clutch performance from the archers as they all scored 10s in the final end to ensure victory.

Paul Marton Dela Cruz, Joseph Benjamin Vicencio, and Earl Benjamin Yap represented the Philippines.

It is already the second bronze of the SEA Games for Dela Cruz, who defeated Malaysia's Zulfadhli Ruslan in a one-arrow shoot-off for third place honors in the individual archery compound event.

As of Thursday morning, Team Philippines already has three medals - one from sepak takraw and two from archery.
