After Pacquiao yawner in 2015, Mayweather feels he owes fans better fight

Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s fighting style may have given him a perfect record, but some fans who want non-stop action inside the ring find it difficult to appreciate his greatness.

That became apparent when Mayweather fought Manny Pacquiao, a bout that drew criticism because Mayweather wouldn't engage the 8-division champion.

Mayweather recently said, however, that he's open to changing his approach when he takes on Conor McGregor later this month.

"This can't be a defensive fight. I have to go to him," Mayweather said of McGregor in an interview with ESPN.

"I owe the public because of the Pacquiao fight. They weren't pleased with that. They're gonna be pleased with this fight here."
