MANILA, Philippines — Orlan Wamar Jr. dazzled in Centro Escolar University's 70-57 dumping of Marinerong Pilipino in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup Tuesday, and Scorpions head coach Yong Garcia was not surprised.

Wamar had 16 points in 18 minutes off the bench, 10 of which in the pivotal second quarter when the Scorpions started to pull away.

"Alam kong lalabas 'yun dahil grabe 'yung work ethic niyan," Garcia said.

Wamar missed all his shots inside the arc, but hit five out of six attempts from 3-point land.

Garcia said that Wamar is always an hour early for gym practice and stays there for another two hours after every training session.

Hence, the streaky shooting.
