Petron, F2 Logistics open best-of-3 PSL Finals

MANILA, Philippines – F2 Logistics switches its title-retention bid a notch higher when it clashes with powerhouse Petron in Game 1 of their Philippine Superliga (PSL) All-Filipino Conference Finals on Tuesday at the Muntinlupa Sports Center.

The Cargo Movers and the Blaze Spikers face off at 7 p.m., looking to draw first blood in the best-of-three series.

Ahead of the championship series, Cignal and Foton try to close their respective campaigns on a high note when they battle for third place at 5 p.m.

Newcomer Cocolife finished fifth after defeating Sta. Lucia, while Generika-Ayala settled for seventh place after overcoming Cherrylume in the classification phase of the league.

Petron, the squad that swept the All-Filipino Conference two years ago, appears to have an edge after booking a 23-25, 23-25, 25-14, 25-15, 15-9 win in their first and only match against F2 Logistics so far in the tournament.

The Blaze Spikers also have a loaded roster headed by Mika Reyes, a former F2 Logistics player who will team up at the net along with collegiate stars Ria Meneses of University of Santo Tomas and Remy Palma of Far Eastern University.
