LeBron believes Curry should have received even bigger payday

Stephen Curry is about to sign the richest contract in NBA history, but LeBron James believes the Golden State Warriors sharpshooter should earn double the $201 million coming his way over the next five seasons.

In a retweet of San Francisco Chronicle columnist Ann Killion's description of how the Warriors' rising value has coincided with Curry's ascension to superstardom, James questioned the NBA's salary cap.
The NBA recently announced that the salary cap for 2017-18 has been set at $99.093 million, a significant increase from last year's $94.14 million.

ESPN's Kevin PeltonInsider recently estimated Curry's true worth to Golden State at between $53 million and $63 million per season if there were no salary cap. Prior to his extension with the Warriors, Curry was playing on a four-year, $44 million contract that represented one of the league's biggest bargains.

James is set to earn $33,285,709 next season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He then has a $35,607,968 player option in the summer of 2018.
