Lady Jet Spikers bounce back all the way to semifinals spot

Philippine Air Force wanted no complications in their try for the semifinals in the 2017 Premier Volleyball League Open Conference.

They did just that on Saturday at the Filoil Flying V Centre, taking care of business against also-ran Adamson University in straight sets, 25-22, 25-16, and 25-21.

Coming off a sorry loss to Pocari Sweat three days ago, the Jet Spikers played with much determination in this one and did not allow their opponents to gain any sort of momentum. “Lesson learned talaga yung pagkatalo namin,” head coach Jasper Jimenez said.

Iari Yongco was at the forefront of the attack with 14 points to bring her squad onto a place in the next round.

She was backstopped by Joy Cases and Jocemer Tapic who had 10 markers each.

Air Force was on-point from start to finish and totaled a 42-32 advantage in spikes as well as a 9-3 edge in blocks.
