Pacquiao and his team arrive in Brisbane for Horn fight

Manny Pacquiao and his arrived in Brisbane, Australia on Saturday, over a week before his world welterweight title defense against Jeff Horn.

The fighting senator, clad in a leather jacket, blue jeans and sneakers, boarded an Air Asia charter plane and arrived at Brisbane Airport at 9 p.m. (Australia time), according to ABS-CBN’s Dyan Castillejo.

Pacquiao was accompanied by his wife Jinkee, his adviser Michael Koncz, and his coaching staff led by Freddie Roach.

He will face Jeff Horn on July 2 at the 55,000-seater Suncorp Stadium in what is being considered as the biggest boxing match ever to take place in Australia.

It will be Pacquiao’s first title defense since reclaiming the crown from Jessie Vargas last November.

Pacquiao was greeted by members of Australian press for an interview upon his arrival in Brisbane.
