Arwind, Pogoy clear the air after Game 3

MANILA, Philippines – All is well between former Far Eastern University standouts Arwind Santos and Roger Pogoy, after they cleared the air following Game 3 of the 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals between San Miguel and TNT.

Pogoy was memorably thrown out of Game 2 of the Finals last Friday after committing a flagrant foul that saw him hit Santos between the legs. The younger player's action prompted Santos to unleash a stunning post-game interview, saying: "Galit na galit na galit na galit ako. Ba't niya ginawa 'yun? FEU pa naman siya."

TNT's Roger Pogoy (16) and SMB's Arwind Santos have already buried the hatchet. PBA Media Bureau
Santos got a bit of revenge in Game 3, when he blocked Pogoy's three-pointer to end the first half and scored 10 points off the bench in SMB's 109-97 win.

"Nag-sorry naman siya," Santos said of Pogoy after the game. "Ako naman, hinihintay ko lang 'yung sorry niya. Hindi naman ako nagtatanim ng sama ng loob sa mga kapwa kong player, tapos taga-FEU rin siya."

"Alam ko na baka naguluhan lang siya," he added.

Pogoy himself offered no comment about the situation, except to say that he has apologized to Santos. "Wala na, tapos na 'yun [It's over and done with]," said the rookie, who was scoreless for the second straight game.
